all i can say is i hope its not a repeat of the prev edition of star voice of india...where talent was not the winner!!
the show started off with a group song...o paalanahaare.. for toshis recovery!!
this week, since there were 8 contestants..they had duet songs..and the episode wasnt so boring!!only 3 kids in scary land instead of 4..
anwesha and vyom sang chup chup ke from bunty aur babli...i dunno.....i didnt feel both were impressive, for the first time,i felt anwesha was below par in this song..correct me if i am wrong,did both of them sing this song slower than then the original?? anwesha in scary land...
jayant and aishwarya with aankhon ki gusthakiyaan...aishwarya was almost flawless!! jayant...was awful...way below par!!!both in fairy land!!!
Areeb and prakriti sang sehra baandh ke aaya re..areeb was good, prakriti..was so so...areeb in scary land..
Abeer and soniya sang doob ja mere pyar mein[move u r body baby..]soniya was better than abeer..abeer in scary land!!
Abhaas announced there would a challenger to these contestants, chosen from recorded songs sent....unfair unfair!! so, does that mean we will not ahve a wild card round??
prakriti gott he highest votes..esp after her last weeks song?? god, gaj give us a break!!aap ko paisa banana hai from the sms ..theek hai, but not at the cost of genuine talent bhayya,kuch tho sharam karo..and pl listen to u r consience, if u ahve any!!bahut paisa bana liya , last show se...!!!
well, for the acid test..
areeb was asked to sing..lagan lage tumse man ki lagan...he did a very good job of it, esp his sargam...!!
anwesha..tumhari adaaon pe mai wari wari..was flawless..gosh, that girl can give any singer on any show a run for their money!!!
abeer was asked to sing mashallah...a very good attempt, bad low notes...!!! deserved to b out!!
i am surprised the kids werent given marks, like usual..and it was shameful the way the judges were putting forth their opinion abt the kids performances...doesnt reflect much either on the judges, the producer/editor...of the show!! they cud ahve just marked their scores and ended the prog!!
got to say one thing tho...the parents are very very encouraging, supportive of their kids...and very level headed...like the contestants!!!

The show begins with praying for toshi's well being.
Anwesha & Vyom starts with duet CHUP CHUP KE (Bunty aur Bubli). Vyom the great in fairyland. WORST singer, ANWESHA!!! in scaryland.
I like the spirit in her. She says she is happy to perform again.
I think she has to be more careful in selecting her song. select the popular ones only. have to be CHAALAK in this competition age.
Aish n Jayant sang Aakhon ki gusthakiyan. Both are safe.

For all non nepali people, no need of voting. dont waste ur money in voting. U cant match the voting machine of nepalise people. Its going to be repeat of Indian Idol 3. Pakriti giri has taken the place of prashant tamang.
No hard feelings guys. I am not nepali people. They have lots of talent. I am a big fan of Udit Narayan. Though I did not prefer Prashant Tamang as compared to others, then also he was a good singer. But Prakriti!!!
PRAKRITI GIRI IS NO 1 again after giving such a such gr8 performance last week. with 3 ATIUTTAM. whereas other particpant (aish/soniya/anwesha/etc) just manage all SARVOTTAM.
Just listen to her performance today. I hope u enjoyed it.
It was really sad abeer to go into competition with anwesha n areeb. considering his age. Though I love to his performance, but then also he has go. He was the weak link.
Its seems Aishwarya is getting a chain from alka yagnik in tommorrow's episode.
I might be the only dork on this blog but man I love it everytime Anwesha comes in scary land. I get to listen her singing twice!!!
Kalyani, don't pay too much attention to the duets etc. It requires a lot of practicing together and the performance can be messed up by any one singer singing bad or out of tune. Also, since those performances are not judged, contestants take it lightly!!
We have to make sure that we mobilize voting for Anwesha once the number of participants in scary land reduces to two. I'm sure all of us together can come up with a plan.

it was unfair for the judges to blame bengal for not supporting her..how do they know??if its so, they shd put up a voting pattern from all over the world...

Regarding the duet of vyom-anwesha
Vyom has started at such worse node that it was not possible for anwesha to make it good. n if you see, vyom was not continuing from where anwesha leave it.
I completely agree with HARD that it need lots of practice for singing duets. n esp these are kids only.
I am yet to see the episode which will come on air in couple of hours but what I was afaraid of is most likely going to happen.
We are going to see deaths of talents and Gorkha votes thrusting upon us yet another untrained voice and force it down down our throats (not that Prakirti is a bad singer but she is nowhere in super league).
The organisers on the other hand want to create such situations whereby they get maximum votes by SMS and Phone to fill up their overflowing kitties.
Shame on you Gajji. Do not take People for a ride atleast now.

I just watched the first two duets and here're my comments
Vyom started with a lower scale than the original song and thus the song was overall bujha bujha. Anwesha was flawless (needless to say)
Jayant was awful. He slows the tempo down and had it been anyone other than Aish (obviously Anwesha included) this would have been a disaster.
I like the gesture of Gajji to still keep past participants in public's memory. Thankfully Toshi seemed to have recovered completely!
Also the chup chup ke song is charaterised by Sonu's mindblowing rendition and mahalaxmi iyer is simply a supporting singer (IMHO) while i the case of Vyom-Anwesha, Vyom could not match Sonu's intensity (its tough, I agree) and hence the insipid effect.
BTW, you guys did not mention in the episode report that Prakriti sang 'Dil cheez kya hai'. Again a brave attempt but falling short of expectations.
Guys, Please do watch the 'Tumhari adaon pe main vari vari' sung by Anwesha.

Every nuance, every murki, every harkat impeccable. The throw, the sur, the voice and breath control just mid boggling. Please vote for her!!! Please.

Really felt bad after watching today's episode. Can't believe that Anwesha is in scaryland. Whats wrong with people? I really felt disappointed. The duets were horrible. The combinations didnt match at all. Vyom spoilt Anwesha. Didn't enjoy today's episode at all.
Felt bad for Abeer, but he also needed an exit. Prakriti getting max vote, wow....can't believe. I think people just vote just like that, not based on the best talent.
Anyway last week's Anwesha's song choice was not very impressive. But she was the best. Hope tomorrow's episode is not disappointing!
The format of SVOI is quite OK, but then also it is not full proof to get the best talent. Though it is better than the other talent search.
U have given the judges power to eliminate the worst one from the scaryland. But what will happen if the worst one does not come to the scaryland.
What I think, judges should also have rights to select the worst performer from the last performance. and ask him/her to compete along with the bottom 3. and whosoever perform worst, eliminate him/her
In this way, we can somewhat ensure that the better contestant will win the title.

How can u say that real talent was not the winner in Star Voice of India. Ishmeet was the most talented and had the sweetest voice. He was bound to win.
Yesterday i was watching Jhoom India on Sahara, the two mediocre singers competing for Rs 25 lakhs. Varun Vadola had put up a sorry face just because mahesh bhatt was openly supporting the other guy sachin tyagi who eventually won.
Just see the guts of Ishmeet who put up a brave front even in face of so much humiliation and varun vadola was sobbing just because bhatt was supporting the other guy.
kalyani, Ishmeet is a very mature 18 year old boy. You must admire him instead of putting him down. He is a Jewel in the Indian crown.
Woh Bharat ka ek anmol ratan hai.
So much is being said about wrong people winning music contests.
I will like to say that Aneek of Sareagama and Ishmeet of VOI were genuinely good and better than their competitors. So the result of these 2 shows was correct.
As for Prashant Tamang, the Indian Idol judges wanted to promote North-East people as all the top singers in that show were from this region. So it becomes another matter altogether. Indian idol became more of a regional appeasement show rarther than a music show.
To end or to reduce the controversy in these shows my suggestion that 50-50 weightage should be given to points given by judges and votes given by people.
Further only 1 vote should be allowed per mobile. This will reduce the controversy surrounding such programmes to some extent.

Reminds me of Abhilasha in VOI n deepali/puja in indian idol 3.They never got enuf votes.they were one of d best,yet got less support from the so-called audience.However the silver lining to the cloud is saregama 2007,where mostly aneek or poonam got highest votes,n dey were def. the best!!!i think dat's the only show watched by actual music lovers.
And why blame bengalis?in evrry talent show there is some bengali or the other in top 12,and sometimes like in ii3,top 3 had 2 benaglis and one from north-east.of course,the north-east won!! here also anvesha deserves 2 win but prakriti win--a repeat of ii3 where emon chatterjee who deserved 2 win came 3'rd and prashant won. and plz don't 4get that in saregam 2007, a bengali won and it was an international competiton,not just indian!!!

The only way to stop this controversy is to give 50-50 wightage to both judges and people.
One vote per mobile. All controversy will be over.
But with this Gajji will get to make a little less money.
Please note Darjiling is not a part of north-east. It belong to the state of west bengal. (demanding separate gorkhaland). I dont know why some people always comment without verifying the fact. I wont rectify that person.
But neelakshi I want to rectify ur comments. In II3, Emon(bengali) n Prashant (nepali) are from west bengal and amit (bengali) from Meghalaya. Meghalaya is the state from North East. In the end the Nepali guy from Darjiling(WB) won the title.
This time also prakriti is not from northeast.
I wont comment on the mainstream issue, as this is not a political forum. here we are to enjoy music.

alka is back in the show
anwesha sang "AAO NA" well. no wonder she got all sarvottam n a hug and sarvottamest from alka. But m sorry to say that she has not become CHALAK yet. not a popular one as compared to others.
prakriti sang "Mera naam chin chin chu". Atiuttam from Shreya N sarvottam from others.
Jayant sang "Paisa ye Paisa". not his number. alka did not like it. so ask him to sang another song. he sang Pal Pal dil ke paas. But then also it did not impress alka. she gave atiuttam. kunal-uttam, shreya-atiuttam, pritam-atiuttam.
Another show which shows he is good in ghazal only.

Aish sang raat akeli hai. she sang really well. all sarvottam n chain from alka. She revives the talent competition with anwesha. I wont comment on votes. But I love to final bet anwesha n aishwarya. Both of them can sing any type of song.
Vyom sang jaane ja dhondta phir raha. I love this song quite a lot. he sang quite good. his best. all sarvottam. He is improving. Anwesha provide the female voice in between. I wish she could sing asha's part from the song in the stage.
Areeb sand Dard e Dil. he sang good. But He has throat problem. Poor guy. I love his singing, he has good potential but his throat is not supporting him to that extant. But pritam was bit harsh on him. alka-atiuttam, pritam/shreya/kunal-uttam.
soniya sang solah baras ki. she too have some stomach problem. But then also she sang good. Could have been a better performance, as it was her genre song. alka/kunal-atiuttam, shreya/pritam-sarvottam.

Anways, both are sung by Lata and the ek duje kay liye song is extremely difficult song to attempt.
Amit, I am not sure if it was Soniya's genre though. I was pretty sure that Soniya will have difficulty singing classic lata-asha songs and I think my hunch is proving right. Anyways, no worries, she still quite young to learn and improve.
