the most glaring thing which i have been wanting to comment for long...y is it that no guest is escorted to his seat??or they can at least edit the portion showing him walking to his seat...its just not done..
anwesha sang bach ke tu rehna...i wasnt very impressed,she sang well..prob we expect something more wen she sings..
vyom sang tension lene ka kya...he was good...but in scary land
aish..yaaron sun lo zara...was good..but sur slipped in a couple of places...does she sing in falsetto in a few places??i noticed it we she sang aaj jaane ki zidd na karo..can someone confirm??
areeb sang goli maaro bheje mein...voice has improved..and it was a good performance..

jayant with maulamere maula was average..did he sing one octave less..and so wasnt impressive??

I have waited for her to go into that falsetto shrill every now and then and then realized that it is how she sings naturally. I'll watch the episode more carefully tonight.
I am not sure what is it that you mean by 'i wasnt very impressed' with Anwesha's singing.
Khallas is sung by Ashaji and is a freakin' tough song to sing. Its sung by Ashaji, Sudesh Bhosle and Sapna Awasthi and has so many textures to it. I can contend that it was the most difficult song to pick in that genre.
I have to watch the song, but hats off to her for picking such a song!!!
I have seen this trend with Anwesha, she picks the most difficult songs to sing on the big stage and really ends up singing with most ease.
Compare her to what others picked..
1. Yaaron sun lo zara, difficult but a tailor made song for Aish
2. Goli maar bhejey mein - another tough one but not as tough
3. Subah ho gayee mamu - easy
4. Apun bola - fairly easy
5. Kya bolti tu - easy
If she has not been able to do justice to Khallas, I would say that these item numbers are NOT her genre. I am not sure if she did complete justice to Maiyya Maiyya either!

Really? for a performance which had nothing to write home about? She was sick, was barely able to perform, but hey she trumped everyone to be the highest vote getter. Way to go India!
Anyways, this is a sickening trend. When will we recognize talent. When will we, as a country vote on issues which go beyond, caste, creed, religion, sympathy etc.
I am not sure if we are creating more Abhass and Amanats this way or more Ishmeets?
We have just had a nightmare of SVOI seniors where the winner was anything or anyone but music. The show is still remembered for Aadesh's outburst against Alka, Alka walking out, Abhijeet's over the top comments etc. The sad part is, it had some really good talent which probably will die without a whimper.
We as a country need to wake up. How long can we keep voting for illogical issues? How long will we keep having leaders like Mulayam, Mayawati, Kanshi Ram, Laloo and the best of them all our very own who-are-you-again Mrs President, run this country?
I wish we could really change this one phenomenon just as easily as we have blazed the trail in development and economic growth. Imagine if we had leaders like Narayan Murthy or Azeem Premji to feel proud of! Imagine..
I liked Anwesha's performance more than anyone else today. Aish didnt do at all. Felt it wsa a mediocre performance from her.
Hope tomorrow'e episode turn out good.
hhmmm...hard relax...u honestly think the so called highest vote gainer really get the max no of votes??the producer randomly chooses...to get max votes from a section of ppl ..we ahve seen it in most reality shows..and the trend will continue.till the sms voting stops..this type of drama will continue week after week, show after show.
have they ever announced the no of votes a contestant receives??never...except last saregamapa...and that also in the finals??
lets accept it, anwesha inspite of getting sarvottam from the judges has come in scary land twice,aish,inspite of getting atiuttams and forgetting her lyrics once has never been in scary land...or has she??prakriti with average singing,uttams and atiuttams...has she come in scary land??i wud definitely rate soniya better than prakriti.
u r biased abt soniya..but for me the top3 wud b anwesha, aish and soniya followed by areeb...
in the prev show, not many ppl liked abhaas, but for me he was a complete singer...just enjoy the show..bcoz the producers back to screwing up the show like he did last time!!!

I definitely rank Soniya higher than prakriti, but I am unable to figure out how soniya can get max votes. It was really nice to see the expression on prakriti's face when abhas declared that soniya gets highest votes.
One of the reason for soniya was declared as highest votes, may be SVOI is unable to attract more votes. They tried sympathy trick, which did not work. Jayant was unable to bring more votes. Now the vote bank gajji can attract is the nepali vote bank. After todays result, the people of darjeeling will shower the votes like anything. You get good money only when u bring votes for the show. Here no one is for talent, everyone is concerned about money.
exactly amit,imagine prakriti got the max votes after anwesha sang amee je tomar!!bas, all these shows r "reality shows" and not talent shows!!we can already harden our hearts to talent nowhere being near the top...!!!
Even if they announce the votes in favour of any or all contestants, what is the guarantee that the figures or the percentages disclosed are authentic? Is there any independent auditing? Where is the transparency? Every producer of any show on any channel wants SMS from gullible public by playing with emotions. Every winner of the so-called talent hunt shows, in my opinion, is the most unfortunate guy. Even after getting exposure from such a platform, he or she (if any) gets tied up with the contractual obligations. Big Music gave a three year singing contract to Ishmeet (but under their banner only). People supporting him would be quite happy- but is it really a reason to feel happy? He would not be singing as a free-lance singer. He would only be doing what Big Music wants him to do. Meanwhile other singers are likely to get many openings- three year period is too long for anyone to lag behind due to contractual obligations when other contestants actually make contacts and enter the film industry's clique- and it is not an easy task to get into this clique. Therefore, I would be more happy if Anwesha comes 2nd or 3rd- atleast she would not be tied up with any contractual obligation. Her winning actually would make me more tensed.
I don't think that the elimination was unfair yesterday. Jayant did not get the acid-test song right even at one place. Areeb was expected to lose, but as they say, acid-test is a one-day match and Areeb certainly won it fair yesterday. Jayant can work on to be a great Ghazal singer. He has it in him as he showed in the song after the elimination. As for Areeb, the task is clearly cut out- The bug in his throat seemed to have diappeared yesterday and now he needs to come up with a power-packed performance - preferably on a semi-classical song if the theme permits.
For the top slot, it has to be a toss-up between the 2 As. For me, Anvesha wins on most days, but on a few others Aish scores with her soft silky voice.
yesterday's episode as a friend wrote, WAS MEDIOCRE.
Biggest disappointment was ANWESHA.
Her rendering lacked the punch."KHALLAS" is to be delievered with a force.
She was boxing with valvet gloves.
May be our expectations are too high for Anwesha.
But we love her voice, nature and her dedication.
I foresee her reigning on music scene for another three decades to four decades atleast.
Aish was not singing in falsetto.
It is her natural voice quality.
Sonya cannot be nine years old. I have my doubts.Leaving aside age thing, she is much better than Prakirti.
Gajji, when will you stop playing poker?
Everyone knows what hand you are gonna play next.
Felt sorry for Jayant. One more sympathy factor gone.

the basic thrust of d arguement was dat Gajji wants a prakriti-aishwarya fianle at any cost.just like harshit-ishmeet.for moolah rsns,he wants prakriti n ishmeet bcoz dey get max. votes. for over-hype rsns,he wants harshit n ash.
the best of each show,namely abhas n anvesha, do not stand much chance.abhas was eliminated at 3'd position n believe d same will happen wid anvesha.enuf 4 ppl 2 say dat dey did not get enuf votes 2 make it 2 finale.even wid judges' decison,i believe gaji will force dem 2 make it an ash-prakriti finale.
d best n second-best of each show namely abhas n arshpreet, here abhilasha n gitasri,faced same fate.abhas n anvesha will b retained till just b4 fianle.arshpreet n gitasri were both eliminated early on with the poor excuse of weak vote-banks.also dey were not hyped tho i believe arshpreet was better den harshit n here gitasri was better den ash.
its a simple tactic,simple but ingenous.its d same pattern in both d shows. d second-best,low-profile contestants like arshpreet n gitasri r eliminated early on.d best,namely abhas n anvesha, r retained only till dey cannot damage prospects of gajji's chosen finalists.
Neelakshi one correction, Prakriti is not from North East, she is from Darjeeling, West Bengal. I don't think North East will even vote for her. Its the Nepali Voters who vote for her.
Anyway lets wait and watch. We have no control but to vote for the talented "Anwesha". I am glad that at least she was not in Scary land this time.
