ok....here goes my take on todays episode...
prakriti apparently got the highest number of votes!!!i dont think she deserved it, her socho zara last week was good..but no way better than anweshas amee je tomar...or aishwaryas rendition...comeon, gajendra singh..at least script u r shows better than this!!!it was absolutely shameful...and making abhaas announce that aishwaryas votes were second highest and anweshas third...please,ppl are not fools!!!
jayant, vyom, areeb and mansi were in scary land...
jayant sang lagan lagi...and he was really good, tho he slipped up a few times...i was impressed!!!
vyom with gulabi aankhen..was excellent!! but, shd he b judged on his strong point,,rafis songs??it happened once b4.wen he was in scary land!!
mansi was given latas jaane kyon log mohabbat kiya karte hain..very unfair i thot...it was a very very tough song..with a lot of subtle tones...yup mansi was very bad in her low notes[which has always been her strong point]!!!her low notes were absolutely flat..was it bcoz she knew she was gonna b eliminated?nervousness that she might b??questionable!!
areeb was asked to sing jaane kya from pyar ke side effects...i listened to the original after the show[b4 i write a comment]..i dont think areeb was bad!! he wasnt great..but he gave a pretty good rendition!!
it was awful the tie up betn mansi and areeb!!unfair too...both given very tough songs...and being judged!!!

Abhaas brought in the question of sarvottam being awarded indiscriminately...i wont write abt that...u guys can watch it and then comment abt what happened...!!!
it was tears all the way wen mansi was voted out...i dont blame the kid..she was hyped up sooooooo much by the judges right from the beginning...that poor kid just cudnt take it..!!!shreya was in tears...hhmmm[no comments!!]...and the make up guy came in to dab her tears!!![prob , the saturdays shoot was next!!]....please gajendra singh..since u edit the show..improve u r editing skills, unless it was shown deliberately!!! i was really laffing my guts out!!!

i still hold that mansi was inconsistent in her performances...she was good in certain parts of each song...!!she was hyped up by the judges..i ahve written from my first post..that she has a lot of potential..but, not for this show!!!like abeer!!!!
i dunno if u have seen the prev edition on voi..it was an absolute disaster..in terms of the finalists and the winner!!
i thot the producer started this show better than the prev one..but, i am not so sure still!!
till they stop the sms ka drama..real talent will definitely not win on any of these shows!!
noway, will svoi play right with the contestants with the revenue earned!!u r the optimist...and i am the realistic pessimist!!!...

Prakriti has more working for her than all the other contestants. She's helluva cute, her voice is nice (although not original) and her singing is not bad at all but the one thing that she has especially going for her is the SMS power of northeast. Remember Debojit? Vineet was much more versatile but Debojeet won thanks to the northeast voting power and thanks to Himmesh's negative effect on voters
I will say one thing though, Prakriti might get eliminated as soon as she comes in the scary land cause I am not too sure hos much the judges like her and if she does not impress them on that day, she will lose.

I think Pakriti belongs Darjeeling in West Bengal. We dont have to go far back. Last year in Indian Idol, Prashant Tamang won the title without coming in bottom 3. Nepali people from all over the world send money to darjeeling to vote for prashant.
I think, this time also, pakriti wont come in scary land.
If anyone have noticed my previous remarks, they might see everytime I have mentioned Prakriti's name. Just because she is nepali from darjeeling. and I know what they have done Indian Idol.

It was really a tearful exit of Mansi. Even i felt really emotional, not that she sings really well but because they are such small kids and i know how hurt they must be feeling. Mansi was given a very tough song but she started out good and messed up in between. Probably tensed.Poor thing!!!
I liked the AV of the judges. It must be difficult for the judges because you can't give very harsh comments on small kids. But i am really impressed with the way these kids presented themselves.
They are really talented. I love watching this show. Thanks to internet, at least i am able to watch this show though i dont have a desi channel. Thanks to Kalyani also for maintaining this blog. (This time i was so desperate to see the show after reading all the comments so i had to google for another source before Kalyani uploads the videos :))

if mansis exit was a screw up, then what was gitasris??she was an excellent singer..and her being eliminated so early in the show was a disaster!!!well, everything said and done,yup, all the kids have to exit sooner or later...so....like amit and hard said, my fear is we just may ahve prakriti and jayant in the finals!! and lets accept it, it wud b definitely based on sympathy vote and just plain sms for prakriti...the nepali factor!!!
if that happens, i wud b convinced that talent has had no say in either the last or this show by gajendra singh!!!

I am here after a long time. I am very much glad to see that this blog is now filled of lot's of music lovers and excellent bloggers. Hope it will continue like now. I hope this is the best blog on SVOI Chhote Ustaad only for all of your contributions.
Actually I failed to contribute too much for this blog as for the first time in history I am working on a new blog based on SVOI Vs Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Very soon I am going to launch it. Hope U will also enjoy that.
The only thing I wanna say about SVOI Chhote Ustaad is Abhaas, the host. According to me he is the worst host among any musical shows. An inmatured person like him should never be a host of such programs. Where Aditya is doing extremely well for Zee's Little Champs. That was the biggest mistake by Gajj to select him as a host instead of Shaan.

Hi every body, how is everybody doing. So i could not stop myself from writing back on this blog. I love Rishi & kalayani so much that I had to come back.
Mansi's exit was sad. But a bigger tragedy happened in the Little champs show yesterday. Vibhor Prashar of Delhi sang so well and yet he was eliminated. He sang Sonu Nigam song " Tu Kab yeh janegi, tu kab yeh manegi". Sonu himself remarked that Vibhor has sung better than him, even Sonu could not sing this song in one go. Such a talented kid Vibhor was unfairly eliminated.
Kalyani, Rishi- I hope you guys are doing well. I am pleasantly surprised by the sudden increase in response to your blog. Great going guys.

Hi, how are you doing. I rarely read your views on this blog, though I have also come after a week on this blog.
Well according to current trends Anvesha or Aishwarya will win Chotte Ustaad. Though Jayant is also a dark horse. Vyom was the top scorer yesterday, but i dont think he will win eventually.
In Little Champs there can be only 1 winner that is "Rohanpreet". He is an awesome singer. Yesterday also he sang the kailash kher song "Tauba Tauba" really well. Sonu & Sudesh both complimented him on his performance and said you have made us proud.

I totally agree with you on Abhaas. Aditya manages the show so well. Little Champs is scoring over Chotte Ustaad because of two people Aditya and Sonu Nigam. Sonu Nigam has the charisma which none of the Chotte ustaad judges possess. I am sorry to say Pritam's look is horrible & depressing. Shreya Ghoshal looks quite laid back at times. Kunal Ganjawala tries to overdo everything. Lastly, Abhaas new to the job, will take time to anchor the show well.
In both programmes, the following kids are talented:-
Anvesha, Aishwarya, Jayant, Vibhor and above all "Rohanpreet".
One thing is sure both these programmes are promoting genuine child talent.
I take back my child labour accusation against these programmes.

aiswarya sang the ghazal Aaj Jaane ki zid na karo. She sang superb.
Ghulam ali also says its a tough one.

This is what I wanted, ask the kid to sing the same type of song, & then judge them, U will ask jayant to sing always ghazal & judge the other kids with diff song is not fair.
Aish can sing any song. That too consitently. Missed the song of Anwesha & Pakriti. Heard that pakriti did not get good remarks.
I also think, as Jayant came in scary land, that why they have ask ghulam ali (by cancelling his london trip) to come to show, so that jayant can come back in fairy land.

considering dat prakriti,ash n soniya have always been in fairy land n dat the judges like Anvesha a lot(thank god!) it shud not b 2 much of an issue.
however the problem factor seems 2 b the pendulum kid who again seems 2 b getting high votes n i am a little scared dat he will b chosen over soniya/prakriti if dey both cum in scary land(thanks 2 the judges' liking 4 him)
howver areeb n vypm do not have strong vote banks n i think they will b eliminated soon unless the judges r hell-bent on saving dem again n again.
Jayant is a good singer n i hope he makes it to top 5 at least and though he is better den parakriti as a singer,i wud prefer top 4 2 b girls(yes,as aaginst all d other shwos where top 4 were all boys-- Be it indian idol3, Voi or saregamapa 2007) so if i hav 2 choose b/w parkriti n jayant,i wud say prakriti as she is also a complete package n hs poise.(not 2 mention voting bank!)
BUT MY TOP 3 R DEF. ANVESHA(HOPE SHE WINS!),ASH N SONIYA. dey r def. the best n most consistent of performers.
